General Weather updates for Nepal (26 Sept – 02 October 2021)
Data base 26Sept 00GMT (05:45NST Nepal Time):
(1) Very higher level Jet stream winds slowly moving Southwards from Northern Indian Himalayas by 0
4-05oct after which may help weaken or end Monsoon this year but few Thundershowers by aftn/evngs at few places of the mid-mountains as post-Monsoon events.
(But it is too early for accurate prediction).
(2) 24-26Sept: As the pressure system gaining little more importance and also with little increased moisture support, some increased clouds been noted with moderate periods of Weather (25-26Sept) including in the High Himalayas most notably over Dhaulagiri-Annapurna-Manaslu axis.
(4) 27-30Sept: Weather slightly improves especially in the mornings at higher levels and one or two weather still possible by aftn-evng/before mid-nights.
(5) 01-02oct: Not very large but a Low pressure system movement from Northwest Bay of Bengal and its subsequent movement towards North Indian plains and Central India may influence Nepal with some increased clouds on 01-02oct and some Weather.
Freezing level: about 5200m to 5400m.
Temperature at 5000m: about +03C.
T at 6000m: about -04C.

Khumbu region:
26Sept: Some morning clouds not too bad. Risk of a short aftn/evng Sn-shrs. Few night clouds remain.
27Sept: Few morning clouds but better. Some increased clouds by aftn/evng and risk one or two short Sn-shrs.
28Sept: Few clouds in the mornings but better. Increased clouds grow by day and higher risks one or two moderate Sn-shrs
by aftn-evng-early night.
29-30Sept: Some morning clouds and risks of one or two short light/moderate Sn-shrs by aftn/evng. Some night clouds but decreased.
01-02oct: Few morning clouds but some increased day clouds and one or two short Sn-shrs.
Annapurna – Thorong La Region:
25-26Sept: Some increased clouds noted occasionally but thicker clouds most notably by 25-26Sept with moderate Sn-shrs.
(One or two heavy Sn-shrs possible (more in focus: 25-26Sept). Some night clouds but decreasing and risk short Sn-shrs
by about mid-night.
27Sept: Few clouds at lower levels Better morning. Increased clouds by aftn-evng and one or two short Sn-shrs-before night. Some night clouds.
28Sept: Few clouds in the morning but increased and thicker clouds by aftn-evng and one or two moderate heavy Sn-shrs. Some night clouds
remain mid-night after.
29-30Sept: Few clouds in the morning but some increased clouds by aftn-evng and risks one or two short Sn-shrs.
01-02oct: Some increased clouds and higher risks one or two moderate Sn-shrs.
Manaslu-Larkya Pass region:
25-26Sept: Some increased thicker clouds movement from India (from SW of Nepal) indicated by satellite pictures by 25sept(aftn) and continuing to remain till 26Sept and with Sn-falls activities mostly occurring by 25Sept evng-ngt and on 26Sept morning/aftn. Some clouds remain 26sept mid-night after but decreasing.
27-28Sept: Few clouds at lower levels but better at higher levels in the mornings. Some clouds day clouds grow and one or two short Sn-shrs by aftn-evng-before mid-nights (more in focus: by 28Sept).
29-30Sept: Few clouds at lower levels but better mornings. Some clouds grow by day
and one or two short Sn-shrs by aftn-evng/before midnights. Few night clouds remain but decreasing.
01-02oct: Few morning clouds but increasing clouds by day and higher risk one or two Sn-shrs.
