CTEVT / NSTB Level 4 Certification

Level 4 certified by CTEVT/NSTB

Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) under Ministry of Education is the national autonomous apex body of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Nepal. It is also the official Skill Testing Authority of the Nepal and does so through National Skill Testing Board (NSTB). A skill test is the corresponding performance test based on the occupational skill standard which must be demonstrated by every individual to obtain a “NATIONAL SKILL CERTIFICATE” indicating that the certificate holder meets the requirements of a trade/occupation. Level 4 is the highest skill level certified by the NSTB.

CTEVT awarded a Level 4 Skill Certificate in Mountain guiding to eighteen people. This means that they are eligible to guide in all mountains around the globe. From now on, those interested in becoming Nepal National Mountain Guides can join the National Skill Testing Board to qualify for the occupation skill test. They are put in level 4 of the occupation skill test. This is a historic step towards merging mountain guiding training and experience in Nepal with formal vocational education system of Nepal Government.
