Mukli, Solukhumbu
Abiral Rai, is a first Mountain Guide from the Rai Community. He’s an Internationally certified (IFMGA, UIAGM) Nepalese mountain guide and an adventure Photographer Based in Himalayan.
He was born and raised in Mukli, Solukhumbu. he began his journey in the tourism industry as a porter for a trekking group in 2008 with the aim of earning some money. Being born and raised in the Himalayas among the guides and climbers, his fascination towards high peaks and mountains started at an early age of 12. Since, then all he dreamed of was to become a real climber someday. Never in his wildest dream had he imagined that the secret dream of a porter to become an expedition/mountain guide leader would come true.
The best thing about climbing for him is the thrill you get when you reach the summit, where everything else is below you. Climbing for him has never been about conquering the mountain, but himself. Hence, he love assisting people to reach the top to see them conquering themselves.
He was born and raised in the Himalayas of Nepal where I grew up seeing people climb and trek. Hence, he joined the trekking profession at an early age. Within these 10 years of guiding, he have guided clients to Mt Everest, the highest peak in the world for 3 times, guided more than 100 clients to over 25 different peaks and led more than 500 clients at an average of 5 in a group to various trekking destinations of Nepal. He spent most of his youth climbing and trekking the Himalayas;
