He was born in 1980 and grew up in Rolwaling, one of the isolated, mountainous and remote villages of Nepal which is located at the north-central part on the lap of Mt. Gaurishankar (7134m), also called Jomo Tsheringma by Buddhist Sherpas.

He started trekking and mountaineering from 2000. Since then he has been doing many trekking and mountaineering activities in Himalaya (Nepal, Tibet, China), Karakorum (Pakistan), Andes (Argentina), volcano mountain (Tanzania) and Pyrenees (France). Also he climbed several first ascents of Himalaya peaks in Nepal. His first summit to Mt. Everest was on May 16th, 2004 via standard SE Ridge. Till now he has done 42 expeditions on 7000m/8000m. and more than 60 above 6000m.peaks he climbed.

 

 

To become more professional in this field he took a course of a Trekking Guide at Nepal Academy of Tourism (NATHM) in 2000 and completed several mountaineering training including UIAGM/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide from the Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA), certified facilitator (instructor) from Nepal Mountaineering Instructor Association (NMIA) and completed the skiing level-II course from Disentis 3000 Bergbahnen, Switzerland.
